SelfStudy (selfstudy.school) respects student and parent privacy. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. All student data is securely encrypted.
1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to deliver personalized STEM learning, 3D Virtual Labs, and quiz assessments:
- Account Details: When you sign in with Google OAuth 2.0, we receive your Name, Email address, and Google Profile Picture. We do not store or process passwords.
- Academic Learning Data: Quiz scores, chapter progress, test timestamps, accuracy rates, and 3D Virtual Lab exploration logs.
- Payment Transactions: When purchasing VIP passes, transactions are processed directly by Razorpay Software Private Limited. We only store Order ID, Payment ID, amount, and activation timestamp. We never store credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs.
- Technical Data: Device type, browser type, and anonymous crash telemetry to optimize mobile and desktop performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide instant access to Class 9–12 subjects, 3D labs, and weekly mock exams.
- To generate automated Parent Academic Progress Cards and Leaderboard rankings.
- To verify VIP access subscriptions and process Razorpay payment orders.
- To provide customer assistance and academic support via WhatsApp and email.
3. Data Security & Storage
All user information and academic progress are secured using industry-standard SQLite WAL mode with SSL/TLS 256-bit encryption during transit. Automated zero-downtime backups are maintained on our secure servers.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser LocalStorage and minimal session cookies solely to maintain your active Google login session, theme preference, and offline PWA caching. No third-party advertising tracking cookies are utilized.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
- Google Identity Services: For secure 1-click Google Sign-In.
- Razorpay: For secure RBI-compliant payment processing.
6. Student & Parent Data Rights
Users have the right to request deletion of their account and all associated test scores at any time by contacting our support team at support@selfstudy.school.
